Why election monitoring matters
During an election the media shapes how the public decides at the polls. Fair, impartial coverage — of parties, candidates and the issues that shape people's lives — helps voters make informed choices.
Moxii Africa has monitored 14 elections since 1994 — every democratic South African election plus polls in Eswatini, Namibia, Malawi, Lesotho and Zambia. Three decades of independent, evidence-based media monitoring.

Moxii Africa, the IEC and social media platforms have signed a Framework of Cooperation, committing to protect the integrity of the LGE 2026 and to collaborate in striving for open and trusted information. The Framework of Cooperation is still under negotiation and will be linked here soon.
