This is an intervention application in terms of Rule 12 of the Uniform Rules of Court. The applicants seek leave to intervene in the main application, under the same case number, which relates to South Africa's digital migration process and is of significant public importance. especially protected against SLAPP suits. Permitting a SLAPP suit against a journalist does not conform to the positive constitutional obligation to protect the rights to freedom of expression and freedom of the press.
